recycled thoughts

Hello people of the world, you have been running with an insane desire to succeed in the only life where you were born to do things which matter to you most. If you look around you would notice that all the humanity is driven towards the acquisition of financial assets because that literally translates their living standard in the society and it also allows them that space and peace with which their kids or parents or the dependents are kept happy.

Marriages are made in Heaven – this is the motto of all the social pundits in society who act as Gods or the decision maker when it comes to arranging nuptial knots.
There is another substantial increase in the number of marriages which are not made in heaven but are made by the decision (decision is an outcome of love) taken by two people who would have to live side by side until death do them apart.

In the history of the human race, we have learned from books and the elders in the family or society at large that humans always stayed together. This is a simple opposite of the very thought that humans can live alone. Why are we conditioned to live together with fellow humans?

Nowhere are you thinking that the writer is turning spooky now?

I have always been happy to look around and see similar looking people doing familiar actions and speech reactions. Some of them want to check the latest BMW and some are eager to be in the waiting booking list of NANO.

We all have a capacity to take control of ourselves or in other words let’s just say that we can condition and recondition ourselves. That is some power which makes humans better species than animals or amphibians or whatever. We think about progress and success and failure with a double filtered vision. How about not being successful and not being able to understand what a failure is?

Every child dreams and their dreams should come true. How does a child ensure what he or she is thinking is not a dream and just a thought which appears to be so unreal.
Dreams are about visualising with open eyes ( which sounds more real ) than sleeping and visualising with closed eyes ( which sounds very unreal ) .The medieval and ancient history talks about sages who would do years of penance with their eyes closed sitting in the middle of some deciduous forest . Were these sages dreaming because there is an apparent similarity about the aforesaid definition of dream and their method of penance?

Performing prayers 5 times a day or once a day decides if a person is religious or not. There is another cluster of humans who turn to the shelter and mercy of Gods when they got a difficulty which appears to them larger than life. I am sure by now you are thinking we all are different and yet similar or is it a diversity in similarity. Look back at the delightful moments of life when you were just listening to your grandparents while they took you out for a walk in the placid evenings of the October month. That is where you asked the entire question about god or nature or some very intriguing question at that time of life like where does rainbow disappears.

The lifestyle of humans has been different for people living in different parts of the world. Someone in south Asia would have completely different set of values and beliefs as compared to someone living in the western countries. Indian population is more inclined towards saving their income and the western population is more inclined about spending. The way Indian shop at the retail houses is different because Indians dress for the occasion (shopping) and arrive at the retails shops in groups or families. Indians like shopping from a place where they see other fellow humans shopping and that too in big numbers. It adds to the confidence of Indians if they see that a particular shop is crowded.

We all remember as a kid riding a bicycle to the local vegetable market to pick the weekly requirement of vegetable for home. Today Indians do the same but now this vegetable market has LCD television sets beaming high resolution pictures and advertisements. The vegetable shops are air conditioned and it no longer looks like a flea market where you could smell the sellers or shopkeepers along with the vegetables.

This paradigm shift in the thinking is essentially brought in by the liberalisation of policies and the ever growing GDP of our country. In the early 1990’s if you run into an Indian living in some part of the USA you are taken as a software guy and secondly a doctor or thirdly a Lawyer. These three professions in the United States of America happen to be the highest paying jobs. Today the Indian Diaspora is wiling to change their thinking. Days are numbered when you would see an American filling for an immigration to India and a work permit to work in New Delhi as he thinks his prospects doesn’t look bright if continues working his ass off in Manhattan or some suburb of New York.

This mad race of making money doesn’t really stop until one pauses to take a breath and think how much he needs to satiate oneself. Think of participating in a race where you are made to stand at the starting point and you are left free to decided and find the finish point of the race.

There is no start without the finish and there is no finish without start.
